The Department of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics Open Days
Our next open day will be held in February 2017. Our Open Days give you the opportunity to find out more about:
- The Joint Master's Degree Program in collaboration with Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg (Germany) and Lappeenranta University of Technology (Finland)
- Vocational possibilities of successful employment
Many students successfully combine study and work in the following companies: JSC Gazprom Neft, JSC “B.E. Vedeneev VNIIG”, JSC Transas etc.
- International traineeships
- An opportunity to use the following unique equipment: supercomputers, a high-speed camera, CNC machine tools etc.
- Photomechanics™ (the laboratory for technical photo and video filming)
- The center for scientific and technical creativity of the youth (FabLab Polytech, aeromodelling, robotics, prototyping etc.)

The Institute for Applied Mathematics and Mechanics Open Days

- Telematics (affiliated to the Central Scientific Research Institute of Robotics and Technical Cybernetics)

- Continuum Mechanics (affiliated to Institute of Problems of Mechanical Engineering, Russian Academy of Sciences)
Heads of the Departments and Director of the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Maksim E. Frolov will answer your questions.
SPbPU Open Days
The Open Day will be held at SPbPU in January, 2017. A tour through the digital manufacturing laboratory "Fablab Polytech" will be organized for the entrants and their parents.
