Micromechanics of Heterogeneous Media

The course provides methods to identify the proper microstructural parameters in terms of which the given effective property is to be expressed. Different approaches to the problem of effective property are studied: the non-interaction approximation, rigorous bounds, approximate schemes aimed at accounting for interactions.
